  • Koregaon Park is the best option for Western travelers. Viman Nagar & Camp are nice but farther out. Deccan has a lot of shopping & food but may not have as many hotels. Avoid city center for lodging, but you can go for markets.

  • Both brick & mortar stores & markets are listed. Markets have specific hours (Google will tell you) and only use cash typically.

  • No particular order or neighborhood grouping.

    • Vaishali. Try paper dosa, or veg cheese sandwich.

    • Wadeshwar. Good for breakfast & lunch. Try sabudana wada.

    • Ganesh Bhel - Ask for filtered water

    • Chitale (Sweets). Try pedha, aliv ladoo, besan ladoo, mango barfi, or coconut barfi.

    • German Bakery (Sweets)

    • Abhishek. Try pav bhaji.

    • Hotel Shreyas (Marathi Thali). No frills, but cooks with 100% filtered water!

    • Amul ice cream. Buy a cup at any corner store.

    • Sujatha Mastani (Milkshake/Ice cream)

    • Darshan in Deccan. Try chole bhature.

    • Aga Khan Palace

    • Raja Kelkar Museum

    • Parvati Hill

    • Sinhagad Hike. 1 hour long ~25 rupee bus ride from Pune. Also can hire a driver to trailhead or top. We’ve done both many times. Very popular, go early, around 5am departure.
